Bloomsburg Lacrosse Falls to West ChesterBLOOMSBURG- The Bloomsburg University lacrosse team dropped a Pennslyvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) match-up to West Chester on Wednesday afternoon. The Golden Rams had a 9-5 lead at the end of the first half and held on to defeat the Huskies by a score of 21-14. The Huskies were lead in scoring by Sam Alexander (Willow Grove/Upper Moreland) and Brittany Wilkins (Barto/Boyertown) who each netted four goals and Kelsey Quigley (Landsdale/Methacton) who scored four points on two goals and two assists. Rounding out the Husky scorers were Megan Taylor (West Chester/West Chester) who scored twice and Ashley Childs (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) who found the back of the net once. For West Chester (11-2, 8-1 PSAC), Katelyn Martin scored six goals and added an assist which gives her the PSAC career point record. Christine Kane and Stephanie Kienle topped off the Golden Rams scoring with 5 and four goals respectively. Bloomsburg (4-8, 4-3 PSAC) will host it's final home game of the lacrosse season on Saturday against Lock Haven at 1:00 p.m. |
